Archdeaconry Presentment Bills

Work has now finished on extracting details of people brought before the Archdeaconry Court for committing various offences! This is fantastic news, and the culmination of a project which began in 2002. More details about the project and the data that has been created for researchers will appear in a separate blog post in the New Year.

The indexes are available via the Archdeaconry Person Index part of the Manuscripts Online Catalogue.

Details from Presentment Bills dated 1751-1756, for each of the four deaneries (series AN/PB 313, AN/PB 325, AN/PB 338 and AN/PB 351), have now been added to the main catalogue and the Archdeaconry Person Index.
