Facebook the movie

It is somewhat surprising, to me at least, that a movie about Facebook is currently number 1 in the US box office grossing $23 million in it’s first week.  The reach of Facebook is without doubt immense, so perhaps there is a huge inbuilt market; but a drama about writing a piece of software!?
