Xenith Project: Project Plan

Work Packages
Project Management. The project to have dedicated project manager. Project Management to follow the University of Nottingham’s Connected Campus Project Management Framework.

Accessibility. TechDIS to identify accessibility features and functionality to be included. Existing code exhibits high native accessibility, so many features already identified. The accessibility work package will focus on potential improvements available in the new technology.

Analysis. Identification of accessibility features, interface features and functionality, feasible templates, targeted browsers

Collaboration. Developer knowledge sharing workshop, ongoing collaboration with EDINA, opensource developer community.

Development. Development to be led and undertaken by The University of Nottingham in collaboration with EDINA.

JLeRN Experiment. Collaboration with Mimas to explore potential technical solutions to enable the tools to provide metadata and paradata about learning resources to the Learning Registry.

Dissemination. Existing dissemination channels to be exploited through The Xerte Project’s extensive network of user and developers, and key partners such as JISC TechDIS, the JISC RSC. The project to be presented at ALT-C, either by presentation, or workshop.
