Elearning community – and webinar!

This week we’re launching a new online course – Teaching with Moodle. Following on from the Key Moodle Basics Introduction to Moodle, this rolling 8-week course will explore a variety of topics relating to Moodle and provide the opportunity for staff to explore, share, and ask questions.
We will be using tomorrow’s e-learning community meeting to launch this programme.

The Teaching with Moodle course will cover:
- Best practice from around the University
- Advanced uses
- Hints and Tips
- Community of practice for staff Moodle users
The topics will be covered on a weekly basis over the 8 week period so:
- Join us anytime and stay for 8 weeks
- Drop in for just the topics you’d like to know more about
- Dip in and out on an ongoing basis to take part in the community sessions
Each week will have
- A Webinar – a synchronous live session often with a special guest showcasing a great example and expanding on the topic
- Activities relating to the topic
- Resources – documents, videos, podcasts, weblinks relating to the topic
- Discussion forum – Hot Seat and Topic Focus

3. Layout & navigation
4. Managing people
5. Assessment
6. Collaboration
7. Advanced features including for PBL
8. Getting the most from Moodle, tips & tricks
