New TouchStone release!

June 20th, 2011 at 10:06

On Tuesday 14th June version 4.0 of TouchStone was released. This includes improved functionality and new features as requested by users. The first thing you might notice is that the navigation options have changed.

TouchStone navigation

A breadcrumb trail is now displayed at the top of the screen replacing the ‘Up’ arrow used in v3.9 . This means that you can now retrace your steps and jump to a desired position in TouchStone in a single step. The example above shows a Class Totals report from within the ‘TouchStone test’ paper. You can click on the paper name to return to the paper view or you can go further back and return to the module screen or the homepage by clicking on the correct item.

Another change to v4.0 is the renaming of ‘Analysis Menu’ to ‘Reports’. The functionality is exactly the same, it is just the name that has changed!

A change requested by users was to expand the functionality of the Image Hotspot question type to allow more than one item to be identified. In v3.9 you could select more than one area of the graphic that matched the single requested item. In v4.0 you can set multiple items on a graphic that you require the user to identify. The screenshot below shows an example of this.
